Austin Keen stepped up and won his first professional event in Vilano last weekend.  In doing so he launched all the way into the top five UST even after missing the first two events of the season.  Not a bad start for his first year on tour.  Florida native Brad Domke gave him a run for his money but ended up in second place, maintaining his second place UST position, and gaining some ground on points leader Bill Bryan who placed third at the event.  Sam Stinnett placed fourth at the event and moved into the number three spot on the tour as Morgan Just took a weekend off.  Brandon Sears reinforced his points total with a solid fifth place finish while Dave Armstrong cracked into the top ten UST with a 6th place finish.

The race is tightening up going into the final two events and battle lines are being drawn.  Bill Bryan has a comfortable lead in first place with only Brad Domke plausibly able to challenge him with two events left, presuming standard Bill Bryan performance at those events, of course...

Sam Stinnett and Morgan Just appear poised to battle it out for the 3rd and 4th place spots while Austin Keen and Brandon Sears likely have a similar battle for 5th and 6th place coming up.

Never count out Paulo Prietto in 7th place however as he is expected to attend the final two events after having a baby boy in July.

An appearance in the finals for any of the remaining top 15 would likely have a huge affect on their points standing and we can only hope that one of them makes a breakthrough.  Good luck to all and see you in Santa Cruz!   Current Standings

Bill Bryan wins again in North Carolina, further extending his lead in the tour rankings.  Interestingly, the top four in this event matched the top four in the tour rankings precisely.  That means that Bill Bryan, Brad Domke, Morgan Just and Sam Stinnett all solidified their standings, if only slightly.  The real action points wise was with Austin Keen, Woody Harris and Dave Scott, who all placed well and subsequently jumped into the top 10.  John Akerman also put in a solid second pro performance and seems like he will be a contender for a top spot if he continues to do so.  The next event is in Vilano FL in three weeks.  Current Standings

Reigning champion Bill Bryan moves into first place on the tour after a win last weekend at L.B.I..  Brad Domke who placed third at the event moves into second place on the tour while Stephen Bradford boosts into the top ten with his second place finish.  John Akerman made a strong debut on the UST tour with a fourth place finish.  Morgan Just was upset early in the event, but still picked up some points, leaping ahead of no shows Paulo Prietto and Sam Stinnett.  The race is getting interesting!  The next stop will be in Outer Banks NC on July 17th and 18th!  Current Standings

After a win by Morgan Just at Aliso things are tightening up on the UST tour.  The top five are now all within 200 points of each other.  Sam Stinnett's quarter final exit still left him in first place, if only by a hair, but was a substantial missed opportunity to gain ground on his competitors.  Paulo Prietto and Brad Domke switched spots in 2nd and 3rd place with solid finishes while Morgan Just leaped ahead of Bill Bryan in overall points.  Bill Bryan however has a missed contest in those point tallies, which will likely be dropped in the final tabulation.  That will make his 1st place finish in Cabo and 2nd place finish at Aliso, very tough to beat.  But what else would you expect from the reigning champ?  Current Standings

After a win at Southside Brad Domke moves into second place on the UST while Sam Stinnett moves into first place.  Event #1 winner Bill Bryan was notably absent from the competition which moved him into a technical 4th place on the tour.  However he and his competitors are well aware of the fact that two events will be dropped in the final calculation, and Bill is always a threat, dropped contests or not!  Paulo Prietto moves into 3rd place on the tour with another solid finish while Morgan Just and Tim Fulton round out the top six.  Check out the current standings for full details.  Next up, the biggest event of the year at Aliso!

The 2010 UST Cabo Clasico video is released!

05.25.2010
The results are in from the first event on the 2010 UST Tour.  The Cabo Clasico boiled down to a showdown between last years overall 1st and 2nd place finishers Bill Bryan and Sam Stinnett.  And just like the overall results from 2009, Bill Bryan took first while Sam Stinnett placed second.  Close behind were Paulo Prietto and local favorite Scott Flores.  Could Bill be on his way to yet another title?  Could this be the year that Sam Stinnett claims the tour title?  Its still way too early to tell!  The next stop is June 5th and 6th in Dewey Beach Delaware.  See you there!  View Current Standings
