Welcome to the official website of the new United Skim Tour.

Teddy Vlasis stepped up this year to take 1st at the 2013 Cabo
Clasico with endless backside wrap barrels. East coaster Perry
Pruitt stepped up big earning the second place spot followed by Juan
Carlos Nazario in third and Brandon Sears in fourth. The
contest results mixed up the current UST standings substantially.
Teddy Vlasis rocketed up to 4th place overall while Perry Pruitt
landed in 2nd overall. Blair Conklin twisted an ankle in his
heat and wound up dropping to third overall. Reigning champ
Sam Stinnett got fifth in the event which was enough to open up a
significant lead in the top spot on the tour, for now...

The Sununga World Cup started the 2013 UST season off with a bang in
some of the best contest conditions of all time. An epic
semi-final showdown between 1st and 2nd ranked Sam Stinnett and
Blair Conklin with unranked Braziian phenoms Renato Lima and Leandro
Azevedo was the highlight of the event. The level of
competition was insanely high but in the end Sam and Blair were able
to squeak by in epic right hand sidewash conditions. The top
eight were as follows:
- Sam Stinnett
- Blair Conklin
- Renato Lima
- Leandro Azevedo
- Austin Keen
- Morgan Just
- Pablo Marreco
- Tim Fulton

announced as they become available.

The 2012 United Skim Tour season came to a close last weekend in
Newport Beach CA. Going into the event, 1st and 2nd place were
already locked up by Sam Stinnett and Blair Conklin following early
contest season domination. It was a good thing too since both
riders tweaked their knees in the week of epic swell before the
event. Sam chose to sit Oktoberfest out while Blair skimmed,
but not at his usual level of aggressiveness. The UST wishes
both a speedy recovery.
So the battle was set for the remaining spots. Austin Keen
picked up the win at the event but strong performances by everyone
else near him prevented him from picking up much ground. That
was more or less the story of the event as spots shifted by one or
two, but with no huge moves. Perry Pruitt picked up second
place at the event and landed in sixth place on the tour. A
fine showing for his rookie season. Brandon Sears took third
and in doing so held onto 7th place on the tour while Jake Stinnett
placed 4th, just low enough for Austin Keen to pass him with a win
in the final event. Teddy Vlasis took fifth at the event which
was enough for him to jump into fourth ahead of Morgan Just.
Morgan dropped back to 5th after an early exit due to a contentious
man-on-man heat with the eventual contest winner Austin Keen.
Tim Fulton took sixth which was enough for him to hang onto his
third place UST spot. Meanwhile Jason Wilson exited early but
was still able to pick up enough points to land himself in the top
10.
The competition was tight this year. In looking at the UST
standings it is worth noting that spots three through nine were all
within 1000 points of each other. That means that for these
guys the difference could come down to their performance at a single
event (good or bad performance). If Austin hadn't hurt his
back after Cabo, he wouldn't have been counting three zeros...
If Brandon Sears would have made it through his first heat in Cabo
or Southside... If Morgan would have picked up those few
precious points against Austin last weekend...
But those are all "what if's". In the end, the points are the
points. All these guys will be back again next year to take
another swing, and we can't wait to see what they have in store.
So without further delay, the 2012 United Skim Tour Top 10:
- Sam Stinnett
- Blair Conklin
- Tim Fulton
- Teddy Vlasis
- Morgan Just
- Perry Pruitt
- Brandon Sears
- Austin Keen
- Jake Stinnett
- Jason Wilson

Austin Keen picked up the win at UST Stop #7 and in doing so jumped
into the number ten spot on the tour. Austin is now in
position to reach as high as fifth on the 2012 tour if the stars
align just right going into the final event.
Morgan Just was UST
#3 going into the event but a leg injury kept him from competing and
as a result Blair Conklin was able to lock in the second place spot
on the 2012 tour. Additionally, Tim Fulton took full advantage
of the absence placing third in the contest which landed him in
third on the tour, while Morgan dropped back to fourth.
Jake Stinnett picked up a much appreciated second place at the event
which bumped him to 8th on the tour, in position to climb higher
during the last event if he plays his cards right.
2012 UST champ Sam Stinnett picked up fourth place at the event
while Teddy Vlasis picked up fifth place solidifying his fifth place
spot on the tour.
The final stop on the tour is begins Oct 6th in Newport Beach, CA
and most of the top 10 is still up for grabs!
Current UST Standings
9/05/2012
After winning his fourth contest of the year in Vilano Florida last
weekend, Sam Stinnett has secured his title as 2012 UST World
Champion. Sam has had a stellar season so far and has been
able to lock down the title with a full two events remaining.
To put that in perspective, even if he doesn't attend the last two
events of the season, and logs zeros for those events, there is
still no one who can catch him. This is due to the
aforementioned four wins so far this season but also due to the fact
that when he wasn't winning he was still racking up a second or
third place. To give an idea of how good he has done, if he
somehow wins the next two events, it would be a perfect season, with
six events counting and six wins... and he would be dropping a 2nd
and 3rd place finish. Quite amazing to think
about...
So congrats to Sam Stinnett, 2012 UST World Champion.
Blair Conklin has given Sam the most competition so far this season
and even after a 'disappointing' semi-final finish in Vilano, holds
onto his 2nd place tour ranking.
Morgan Just however moved in
closer to Blair after picking up a 3rd place finish in Vilano and
could take the spot if he beats Blair by enough in the coming
events..
Tim Fulton scored big in Vilano with a second place finish and
jumped all the way up to fourth place on the tour as a result.
Teddy Vlasis and Perry Pruitt are not far behind however and
competition will be fierce amongst that group. The entire
group will need
to also keep an eye on Brad Domke, Brandon Sears, Jason Wilson and
Dave Scott who are all well within range of grabbing a top 6 spot.
The next event begins 9/15 in Santa Cruz, CA.
Current UST Standings
8/14/2012
After a rookie season win in Outer Banks, young shredder Perry
Pruitt not only jumped into the top ten, he jumped all the way into
the top five in the after drop point standings. Sam Stinnett
snagged second place in the event solidifying his lead in the tour
standings. Dave Scott made his first final of the year and is
now flirting with the top ten in the UST Tour. He will have a
home court advantage in the next event and the pressure will be on
to make something happen!. Jason Wilson landed in fourth place
at OBX picking up some more points in the tour and proving he is one
of the most consitent skimboarders in the world... The race is
tightening up and the 2 contest drop is beginning to come into play.
Teddy Vlasis is fourth in overall points but is a victim of his own
consistency when it comes to the dropped events as he currently
drops a high score which would land him in sixth. On the other
hand there are worse problems to have, and continued high scores
can't hurt! Blair Conklin appears to be the only person who
can catch Sam Stinnett at this point but he will have to perform
well beating Sam by significant margins in the coming three events
in order to capitalize. The window of opportunity is narrow. If Sam is
allowed to win another event he will be the 2012 UST World Champion.
Current UST Standings
7/23/2012
Sam Stinnett did it again last weekend winning the first ever
Portuguese UST event and racking up his third win in only four
events so far this season. Sam could be on his way to the best
UST season of all time as he has already tied last years record
three wins in a single season, and we are just at the half way mark.
Portuguese legend Hugo Santos snagged the second place spot proving
once again that he is one of the best in the world. After
winning a local Portuguese event the weekend before Blair Conklin
landed in third in Portugal UST event solidifying his lead over
everyone in the UST except Sam.
Portuguese rippers Eduardo Joaquim and Emanuel Embaixador took
fourth and fifth beating out Morgan Just and Teddy Vlasis in 6th and
7th.
The point standings are starting to solidify but one slip up by any
of the top riders could result in a major opportunity for his
competitors. It will be exciting to watch as the next event is
coming up this weekend in Outer Banks, NC.

Sam Stinnett walked away with 1st at the Aliso competition last
weekend expanding his lead over the rest of the pack in tour points.
Blair Conklin is firmly in second but a few more points behind Sam
after placing third at the event. At this early stage Sam and
Blair have a significant lead in points over the rest of the pack,
but it is still early. Morgan just boosted into third place on
the tour after finishing second at the event and is no doubt looking
to improve upon that in the coming events. He is followed by
Teddy Vlasis in fourth, Brad Domke in fifth and Bill Bryan in sixth.
All of the riders in places 3rd - 8th are within 550 points of each
other so expect the competition to heat up as we head into stop
number 4, Portugal!

The UST is going through some exciting organizational changes in
2012. Professional skimboarding veterans Jason Wilson, Matthieu
Thibaud, and Paulo Prietto have been nominated to serve as new
directors replacing former directors Bob Smetts and Trigg Garner.
These new board members will serve alongside Exile Skimboards owner
Aaron Peluso to help continue the UST's mission of promoting the
growth and legitimacy of professional skimboarding, and the sport
itself. There are already a lot of good ideas flowing from the new
blood behind the scenes so expect some positive changes in the
future as the UST continues to improve and grow. We would like to
thank Victoria and Zap Skimboards for their past support of the UST
and look forward to a bright future as the United Skim Tour
continues to evolve.
6.08.2012
Blair Conklin won his first east coast event at Southside and in the
process moved into a close second in the tour rankings last weekend.
Brad Domke is not far behind in third after a second place finish at
the event. Teddy Vlasis placed fifth in the contest and and
landed in fourth in the UST. Meanwhile Morgan Just placed
fourth in the contest which brought him up to fifth in the UST.
All eyes will be on the West Coast Championships the first weekend
of July as the competition is bound to heat up!

Welcome to 2012 ladies and gentlemen. 2012 promises to be a
great year for the UST coming off the heels of a very competitive
2011 season and with a first ever Portuguese UST event in the works.
Six of the eight 2012 UST event dates have been announced.
More to come shortly!
10.06.2011
Sam Stinnett walked away with 1st place at the final event of the
year and in the process clinched his first World Title as 2011 UST
Champion. Congratulations to Sam after a nearly perfect season
with counting scores of three 1st place finishes and three 2nd place
finishes. That will be a tough record to beat in future years,
just as it was this year!
Brad Domke finished in 8th place at
Balboa and held onto his second place spot on the tour. Brad
gave Sam a run for his money with two wins this year but couldn't
come up with the final win he needed to win his first title.
Blair Conklin wound up in third place on the tour his rookie
season. In fact, his 2nd place finish at Oktoberfest nearly
had him jump up to the number two spot... but it was not to be.
Maybe next year.
14 time World Champion Bill Bryan held onto his 4th place spot on
the 2011 UST tour. Bill placed consistently all year long but
never won a contest which would have given him the point boost he
needed to move higher in the standings. He was inches away in
each event this year and we look forward to seeing him teach some
kids some lessons again next year.
After two wins this year Morgan Just clinched the 5th place spot.
Morgan actually had more total points than Bill Bryan for the second
time in the last three years. Unfortunately for Morgan, only 6
of the 8 contests count and as was the case in 2009, he needed
another big score to move up in the rankings. Morgan will be
hunting for the title again next year no doubt!
Jake Stinnett held onto sixth place on the tour after another 2nd
place result at a west coast contest. Jake has been trying for
years to break into the top 10 and came up big at both the Vic and
Oktoberfest this year to make it happen.
Teddy Vlasis Brandon Sears, Austin Keen and Jason Wilson rounded
out the top 10 skimming solid all year and edging out some stiff
competition.
For the first time ever, this years United Skim Tour had more
than 100 total competitors. More riders are consistently
attending more events and training hard in the off season to perform
better. The level of skimboarding on the 2011 tour was far
more advanced than it was only a few short years ago. We can
only imagine what these talented young men have in store for us next
year...
Ladies and gentlemen, the 2011 UST Top 10:
- Sam Stinnett
- Brad Domke
- Blair Conklin
- Bill Bryan
- Morgan Just
- Jake Stinnett
- Teddy Vlasis
- Brandon Sears
- Austin Keen
- Jason Wilson
Final 2011 UST Standings
9.27.2011
After back to back events in France and Santa Cruz the last two
weekends, the point standings are tightening up. With only one
event remaining competitors will be giving their all this weekend in
Balboa.
After winning the France event, Morgan Just jumped solidly
into the top 5 UST and by following up with a fifth place finish in
Santa Cruz he solidified it even more.
The real winner in terms of points however was Sam Stinnett who
scored back to back second place results and as a result went from a
dead heat for first on the tour to a 200+ point lead in first place.
If he can manage a third place or better at this weekends event,
there is no one that can beat him in 2011.
Brad Domke has the best chance at beating Sam this year as he
placed a close third in France and eighth in Santa Cruz, which
opened up the lead for Sam, but not by much. A first place
finish by Brad and a fourth place or worst by Sam is what it would
take for Domke to win his first UST title.
After missing France but winning in Santa Cruz, Blair Conklin has
landed solidly in the top three his first full year on the UST tour.
Nearly 700 points behind Sam, it is technically possible for him to
walk away with a first, but realistically improbable. Even
moving up to second place would require an early exit from Brad
Domke. From a points standpoint Blair will need to do at least
189 points better than Bill Bryan who is currently in fourth in
order to hang onto his third place in 2011.
It looks as though Bill Bryan who won the tour the last three years
in a row and is hands down the winnningest skimboarder of all time
will not be walking away with the UST title in 2011. A solid
performance at Oktoberfest in conjunction with with an early exit by
Blair or Domke could easily see him jump up to 2nd or 3rd however,
which would be a an impressive way to round out a solid season.
Morgan is currently solidly in 5th place on the tour and with a
significant point buffer both ahead and behind him, it looks as
though fifth place might be where he winds up.
After 5th place, the rankings get much tighter and there is much
more uncertainty going into the final event. Austin Keen is in
6th but is only leading Teddy Vlasis in 7th by a single point.
They are then followed by Jake Stinnett, Jason Wilson, Brandon Sears
and John Akerman, all of which are within 600 points. A solid
performance by any of these riders in the final event will lead to a
significant boost in their final 2011 UST ranking.
But don't take our word for it. Check out the rankings for
yourself!

Brad Domke won his second event of the year last weekend and
launched into first place on the tour in the process. Sam
Stinnett is a mere 30 points behind after the point drop (two
lowest) and with three events left, it is anyone's game. That
includes Bill Bryan who with after missing OBX is still solidly in
third place on the tour. First year rookie Blair Conklin
racked up some more points in Vilano and solidified his fourth place
tour position while Austin Keen picked up second and leapfrogged up
to 5th place on the tour. John Akerman picked up 3rd place at
the event and landed squarely in the top 10 UST while Dave Scott,
Eric Rosenberry and Rob Morris all performed solidly at the event
but have yet to crack the top 10 on the tour.

Following up on his win at Aliso Sam Stinnett decided to make it two
in a row in OBX last weekend and in jumped out in front as the new
UST points leader. Brad Domke racked up another solid second
place result in the event moving up to second place in points in the
process. Blair Conklin got fourth in the last two contests but
moved it up to third in this one, moving all the way from seventh on
the tour to fourth. Jason Wilson got another solid result at
his second event of the year and even with only two events is
knocking at the door of the top 10 UST.
John Akerman and Dave Armstrong racked up solid results in 5th and
6th place respectively and are now in striking distance of the top
10 UST. The next event is Vilano. Can't wait!

Sam Stinnett walked away with the top honors at the Aliso contest
last weekend in a two day battle with some stiff competition.
Some of the stiffest competition came from his older brother Jake
Stinnett who walked away with second place followed by standouts
Teddy Vlasis and Blair Conklin.
Sam advances to the number two spot on the tour with this result as
Brad Domke edges closer to points leader Bill Bryan. Jake
Stinnett catapults to a tie for fifth with Teddy Vlasis. Blair
Conklin is right on their tails in 7th.

The Southside DE UST event went down last weekend in very small wave
conditions. Brad Domke made the most of it, winning the event
and catapulting from 15th to 4th on the UST.
Consistency always pays however, and Bill Bryan knows how to do the
math. After finishing 3rd in Cabo he placed 2nd in Delaware
and landed at 1st on the UST standings.
Morgan Just and Sam Stinnett are in a virtual dead heat for the 2nd
and 3rd place spots while Blair Conklin and Austin Keen throw their
hats in the ring with appearances in the Delaware final.

12.15.2010
2011 is nearly upon us and it is time to announce a major change to
next years schedule which we have been working on for some time.
Next year there will be a European stop on the pro tour for the
first time ever in skimboarding. The conceptualization for
this 'European Open' is to have it be a roaming European event to be
held in a different location each year.In 2011 France has been
chosen as the host of the first European UST event, with Portugal
tentatively scheduled for 2012. The event will be held over a
waiting period from September 12 - 18, 2011 at a specific location
to be determined by prevailing conditions, but chosen from the
following:
- Hossegor
- Seignosse
- Cap Ferret
The UST will stick to its eight event schedule in 2011 (removing
NJ to make room for Europe) with each performer's 6 highest scores
counting toward their final score.
Dates for the West Coast Championships have also been released.
Check the tour schedule for details!
10.06.2010
The results are in and here are the 2010 top ten.
- Bill Bryan
- Brad Domke
- Sam Stinnett
- Morgan Just
- Brandon Sears
- Austin Keen
- Paulo Prietto
- Tim Fulton
- Teddy Vlasis
- Stephen Bradford
Although Bill Bryan won the 2010 UST tour at event number
seven, who is to blame him for putting his stamp on the victory by
taking first at event number eight as well? What else can be
said? The man is a champion!
An early exit by 2nd place Brad Domke in Balboa opened up an
opportunity for Sam Stinnett to overtake should he have done
very well at the event. Sam skimmed like a champion but wasn't
able to come up with the extra points when he needed them, placing
third at the event, and maintaining third overall on the tour.
Brad Domke wound up holding onto second place by a narrow margin.
Brandon Sears placed second in the final event of the season
for the second year in a row, and wound up overtaking Austin Keen
in fifth place and nearly overtaking Morgan Just in 4th place
to boot. Morgan held onto fourth however, if only by 23
points!
Austin Keen Dropped back to sixth with an early exit while Paulo
Prietto leapfrogged Tim Fulton recapturing the 7th place
spot after missing four events in a row due to a new baby boy.
Teddy Vlasis made his second finals appearance and entered
the top 10 UST in style, landing in spot number nine.
Stephen Bradford missed the final event of the season but was
still able to hang onto the number 10 spot due to his strong
skimming all season long.
Congratulations to all participants in the 2010 UST tour!
